I hope this is a passing fad, but I’ve been wasting DAYS reading other peoples blogs. Starting from Fresh blogs I pick the ones that have english titles. Even doing that, the signal to noise ratio is LOW, maybe one good site in 50 clicked. i then go over to weblogs.com and that’s roughly the same. The draw of these two sites, obviously, is that the blogs were just updated, which means the people blogging are online RIGHT NOW.
Just today, I’ve found the typepad webring (sign up here), the typeadistas directory, and blogwise. These have a much better chance of hitting good blogs but aren’t necessarily “fresh.” But really freshness is a don’t care as long as the site’s good.
It can’t be denied that writing a blog is good for you (check this out). Reading blogs, on the other hand….??(grin)
