1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?
Right now, I’m into jazz and smooth jazz, like Spiro Gyra. But I have to say, whenever I hear early Van Halen, it takes me back… Jamie’s cryin…
2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
I don’t know, since I change the channel before they tell me who it was.
3. If your favorite singer wasn’t in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
huh?
4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
I’ve been to two concerts my entire life (well one recently in Tucson). The one I remember like it was yesterday was Ted Nugent. This was maybe 1978! My girlfriend and I were up front, right by the stage. We were packed in like sardines and it was getting worse. A couple of minutes before Ted hit the stage, I noticed that Marji was slipping down slowly to the floor. I grabbed her and held her up. She had passed out from the heat and pressure. I started trying to get out. It was slow going until she woke up, and started vomiting. Then magically, a path open up in front of us. She was OK, once we got out. And Ted was of course fantastic, from what I could see in the back.
5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?
Funny you should ask. Read this article by Orson Scott Card, science fiction writer. He said it better than I ever could..
