I’m having what best can be described as withdrawal pains from finishing “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown. I’m finding it difficult to read other “normal” books. I’ve got several books I could be reading now, but none measure up. Oh, if only I had read slower, I might still be reading it! Heather’s scared to even start it, since we are in the process of packing up for Tucson.
This got me to thinking about other books I’ve read that might have caused these feelings in the past. I can only remember one: Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson. There are certainly others that were great, but none causing this debilitation (g).
Since my memory is not getting any better with age, I thought it would be a good idea to list the few I remember as being the best. Maybe at some point in the future when Alzheimer’s has set in, I will be able to read and enjoy all of them again. Starting with the best:
1) The Da Vinci Code
2) Snow Crash
3) To Your Scattered Bodies Go, Philip Jose Farmer
4) Midnight at the Well of Souls, Jack Chalker
5) Sahara, Clive Cussler
6) Mortal Fear, Robin Cook
If I think of others, I reserve the right to edit this post…..
