If anyone wants a gmail account, send me an email. I’ve got a bunch of invites. I can send out multiple invites too, if you want more than one.
I been wanting a blazingly fast PC to help me make home DVD’s. (OK, I want to be able to play Doom 3 too.) I bit the bullet and purchased a custom built Athlon 64 4000 with SLI graphics, 2 graphics cards, and 200 GB Raid 0, from ABS computers. So far NOT impressed. They were supposed to ship last Friday and instead, on Sunday they sent me an email saying my order was void! They are also not responding in email as to why my order is now void. Hummmm, I’m sure they didn’t void the charge to my card. I guess that’s my job.
I’ve been listening to podcasts on my hour long walk each morning with my cellphone and bluetooth headset. It’s a good combination because it leaves one ear free to hear traffic noise so I don’t get run over.
It would be cool if I was out and about and could hit the button on my headset and start a recorder on my phone. Say someone is saying something interesting and I want to capture it. There’s three buttons on the headset and they don’t do anything but answer the phone or turn on voice dialing. I think the user should be able to program those buttons! Come on Nokia. We want programmable buttons on our bluetooth headsets!
Last night, Quentin and I went to Rocks and Ropes, here in Tucson (an indoor wall climbing place). I was taught how to tie “the” knot and to belay correctly (take up the slack for a climber.) Although it was a father/son type deal, the fathers got to spot each other when the kids got tired. Wall climbing is a blast. I’m doing that again.
